The bottom line is: Our commitment to quality means we are unable to ship our treats at this time. We work very hard to craft beautiful and delicious pastries, and we have yet to find a reliable and cost-effective way to ship them without compromising the quality. Trust us, we tried! With enough time, we may find a viable solution, but for now we invite you to visit us in person at Reading Terminal Market to enjoy our treats.
In accordance with our commitment to quality, here are some tips for Cake TLC:
Leave your cupcakes or cake in a room temperature spot for 30 minutes to an hour before you serve it. Our buttercream is loaded with the butter (trust me, you don’t want to know how much!) and you really really ought to wait until the frosting is soft before you indulge. And if you really really can’t wait, you can microwave your cupcake for 5-7 seconds. (We store our cupcakes chilled so they can stay cute in transit. We’ll happily ever-so-lightly nuke your cupcake if you plan on eating it right away.)
If you have leftovers, you can leave the cake covered and out and room temperature. If you’re feeling sentimental or saving it for a rainy day, put your cake in the freezer until the icing hardens, double wrap it in plastic wrap directly on the cake and store it away for no more than a month. Keep it in the refrigerator overnight to thaw out. Enjoy!
